What is the General Election?
The general election determines who will represent us at all levels of government. This year, as an Arizona voter, you’ll have the opportunity to decide who represents you in Washington, D.C. in the U.S. Senate and the U.S. House of Representatives. You’ll also be voting on who represents you at the Arizona State Legislature, as well as voting on a new governor, attorney general, and secretary of state. Depending on where you live, you may also be choosing who represents you at the local level (City Council and School Board). And–last but not least!— you’ll have the chance to vote directly on ballot propositions dealing with issues like higher education and voting rights.
